Singing the praises of Soy
"I’m in this business to make good, healthful products and make people happy," said Billy Bramblett, an acclaimed Gospel singer and co-founder of Wildwood Natural Foods.
Wildwood’s Organic Grilled & Marinated Tofu, which is being introduced simultaneously at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit in Anaheim, Calif., and at the Natural Products Expo in Washington, D.C., comes in four flavors: Royal Thai, Mandarin Orange, Mongolian Barbecue, and Traditional Miso. Each comes in 10-oz. packages, and retails for about $3.99.
New manufacturing facilities and warehouses in Los Angeles and New York City will allow Wildwood to deliver fresh product to stores in major markets across the United States.
Wildwood works in partnership with organic family soybean farmers in Iowa, who have cultivated a variety of non-GMO, higher-protein, low-fat soybean, to create its outstanding line of products.
Founded in 1978 in Marin County, Wildwood’s first goal was to provide fresh vegetarian food to local communities. Today, it is famous for producing the best tasting, freshest organic tofu, SOYogurt, SoySmoothies, soymilk, and vegetarian products.
